Our new playwriting group is growing rapidly. At our last meeting we had an excellent turnout – 10 attendees and six 10 page plays!
But we had such a good time talking about each of them, we only managed to read four. So we’ve decided to have longer weekend meetings as well as weekday evening ones.
Group members support each other to develop our writing, and our ultimate aim is to write a play the Players can perform. Everyone is welcome to come along, no experience necessary.
At each meeting we choose a topic to write 10 pages on. Past examples include a world event, ‘shelf’ and ‘colour’.
